A Smart GSM-Based Home Electrical Appliances Remote Control System

Energy control systems have over the years experienced significant transformation due to technological innovations. Its importance has led development of a few models aimed at realizing home automation and resolving energy wastage. Wise use electricity helps nation become more energy-efficient, reduces environmental impact, saves money on bills, keeps nation’s supply reliable. This paper presents prototype design reduce wastage in Ghanaian homes probably offices. A Global System for Mobiles (GSM) module is used receiving short message service (SMS) from user’s mobile phone that automatically enable controller take any further action such as switch ON or OFF electrical appliances like light, air-conditioner, fan etc. The system activated when user sends SMS microcontroller upon command, unit then controls by switching device accordingly. was developed tested successfully. provides an effective mechanism aid efficient utilization power developing country Ghana
